About the game
Steal it. Hide it. Solve it.
AFTERTRACE is a tiny gallery heist with a second perspective. First you choose an entrance, time your actions and hide a curious treasure. Then you return as the detective to follow the trail you just left. The room and evidence come from what actually happened in your heist.
A mystery you can finish
Search the gallery, recover the treasure and match a boot tread, a scarf fiber and a dropped charm to three suspect profiles. Each discovery brings the case into focus. A correct accusation gives you a score and up to three stars; sharper timing and a quicker investigation improve your result. Each solved case opens the next of six treasures. New clue combinations, local bests and consecutive first-guess streaks reward another case.
Made for a quick visit
Play with taps in a portrait phone browser, or use a mouse and keyboard. Large controls and short instructions teach the steps as you go. Sound is optional and its mute setting is remembered. No account or installation is required.
The cutaway gallery is built from original Three.js geometry with local SVG interface art and synthesized WebAudio effects. Pure TypeScript rules generate the cases and calculate scores. Local records use the aftertrace namespace, and completed cases also submit to the portfolio's shared arcade leaderboard when it is available.
